I reside in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin with my wife Jen, our daughter Emerson and son Carter.
I’m the Board President of The Park People, a non-profit organization that supports the Milwaukee County Parks system.
I’m politically active within the Democratic Party and currently serve as the Vice-Chair of the 4th congressional district for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. I sit on the administrative committee for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and the executive committee of the Democratic Party of Milwaukee County.
In addition to my personal weblog here, I also write a weblog for MilwaukeeMoms.com called “Modern Milwaukee Dad”.
I’m an advocate for a modern, efficient and effective mass transit system in Southeast Wisconsin and Milwaukee.
I’m also an active member of my union, WPEC (AFT Wisconsin local 4848), and currently serve as a union steward, DCA representative, and COPE committee member.
I’ve been “blogging” since 2000 about politics, technology observations, trends, and commentary.
