Another sure sign Fall is passing..

The smell of burnt dust that layed dormant in the heating ducts over the summer has an incredibly distinct aroma when the furnace heats and disperses the air/dust mixture for the first time since last Winter. Like the new model year of snowplows being displayed at the hardware store, and over-anxious grandmothers completing their holiday shoping, it is another sure sign that Winter is coming soon to the upper Midwest.
