Anyone Remember These Two Phrases from the Past?

I doubt very much we’ll hear either of these two phrases over the next several years despite their huge popularity in the recent past:

“Up or down vote”

“Obstructionist Senators”

  1. MC Pickard says:

Or… when a republican criticizes Obama over Iraq or Afghanistan, can we just tell them they must hate the troops, or how much they hate America. Can we just call them “Obama’ haters and dismiss them out-of-hand?

  2. Bruno Wolff III says:

You might still hear about obstructionist senators from time to time. There are still enough Republican senators to prevent cloture if they are united about something.

  3. Smitty says:

    MC,

I’m sure Republicans will accord President Obama the same respect and support that Democrats accorded President Chimpy McHitler the past eight years.

  4. Dan Cody says:

Same line I’ve been hearing on talk radio over the past week Smitty.

  5. Sean says:

Dan, can you articulate whether or not Smitty and/or talk radio’s attitude is a problem?!?!?

  6. Smitty says:

    Dan,

Gee, I’m sorry I’m saying something that someone on “right wing talk radio” may have already said—who was it, Belling, Sykes? But that’s the way I feel.
