You guys living in North America (and Europe) have no idea what warm weather is till you come to Singapore where the weather is no less than 20 degrees Celcius (did I spell that right?) all year round and December mornings have the habit of being about 30 degrees.

Ironically, the melting of the polar ice from global warming can cause colder winters (possibly even a "mini-ice age") due to all that ice water affecting the ocean currents...
Hard to remember what normal weather is like anymore.

monday here it was -10C with a windchill of -23C, and tomorrow it's supposed to go to +7C

2002 was the warmest year on record since..... 2001

apparently, eight of the top ten warmest years in north america since 1860 have occurred since 1990

but i ain't worried at all, because all these temps are within two sigmas of normal

I think our administration thinks natural selection's a myth, too.

The santa lie is something I wouldn't mind seeing go away. Nothing better than having one of the first few concepts your authority figure (e.g. parent) tells you in life be a complete fabrication.

But, whether you want to admit it or not, you bought it -- at least until another authority figure confirmed that it wasn't true. Makes you wonder what else you bought without question.
