While the currency and communication attack is a good start. You forgot abut the other vulnerabilities of America.
-An attack against the American agricultural industry, probably through hoof and mouth disease and a derivative of mad cow.
-Disrupt and reduce American industrial capabilities (they've been at this for years)
-Release a biological weapon, that, while only fatal in 2% of cases, would be highly contagious and capable of overwhelming the medical system (like SARS, maybe)

The fact that last year China and India, two historical enemies, agreed to a non-agression treaty, removed one of their final hurdles to expansion in other directions.

They can do it in so many ways, too. First, destroy our currency (turns out they hold quite a bit of it). Then, watch as the U.S. stock markets fall (or, crash). Next, disrupt American communications, both through satellites and the internet. Not a single shot fired, and already our country is in a state of panic.

Once all that is taken care of, then they might use some of that military equipment they've been stockpiling, whether it was bought from Russia or they built it on their own.

I wish I had a link, but I saw a transcript of a speech given by a Chinese general a few years ago. He flat-out said that China plans to attack the United States within the next two decades. And why not? It isn't as though we are the only country in the world that desires to be a hegemon.

If things continue like this, it's only a matter of time before China can launch a successful invasion and take over control of large parts of this country.

...I for one would like to welcome our new Chinese masters, and look forward to serving them in whatever capacity they so brilliantly decide. :(
