I'm not placing any blame on you, mwarden. You are no more bound by loyalty to your party than I am to mine. We never signed any contract with them. Screw 'em. We should reserve every right to look elsewhere for a candidate we truly believe in, much like many of us did in 2000, when our own guys don't quite live up to their billing.

The people I blame are the ones who voted for Bush purely out of spite. They may not have necessarily agreed with his politics, but they'd rather drop dead than admit they were wrong about this closed-minded fool we're stuck with for the next four years. Yes, that's right. That would be George W. Bush, the short-sighted, Bible thumping, gay hating, holy rollin', silver spoon fed, Constitution amending, Vietnam war avoiding, beer guzzling, nepotism exploiting, evangelical christian manipulating, unengaging, dumb as nails, end-time self-fulfilling prophecy creating, social security raping, stem cell research stifling, selectively "faith-based" supporting, natural resource abusing, name-recognition capitalizing, "I know what's best in a region of the world I know nothing about" professing rich boy that the red states decided, for whatever reason, would be the best choice for the most powerful man in the world.

I thought our presidents were supposed to be spectacular people! Whatever happened to JFK and FDR? I'll even give Reagan his props! How did we let the bar fall so incredibly low? Seriously, can Republicans actually look me in the eye and tell me they respect this man?

Now the election has come and gone, Bush is being, well, Bush, and his approval ratings are slipping. Hey, guess what America? You should have thought about that before you voted for this guy last November!

You wanted the perfumed prince, and you got him. Congratulations, America. The Bushes have pulled the wool over your eyes once again.

I never get any useful information during election campaigns, so it's always sort of a crap shoot. I flip-flopped after 2000. I voted for Bush and then had four years to learn about who it is I just elected. So, if you want to blame me and the rest of the 'American voting public', go ahead, I guess. But, we're all just going on what we know when we vote. If all anyone talks about is whether Bush snorted coke in college and whether Gore is actually part machine (does anyone give a shit about either?), how the hell is anyone supposed to pick the right guy?

Unlike the American voting public, I am not a flip-flopper. I ALWAYS thought the guy sucked.
