The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s circulation continues to drop, this time down another 2.3%.
I’ve offered up some possible reasons why in previous posts on the subject. While there are certainly other factors involved in the slide, maybe the paper should try to reconnect with the city it’s supposed to be writing for instead of pandering to conservative suburban readers?
I live in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI with my wife Jen, our daughter Emerson, and sons Carter and Colton.

I think the number is a little misreading. I believe the newspaper readership numbers are in a state of flux. Sure the circulation may be down, but readership is probably up, yet difficult to measure. The newspapers are continually finding different delivery mechanisms to push their product. You sort of alluded to this when you said, “other factors involved in the slide”.
It’s funny, I talk with some people who think the paper is too liberal and others who think it’s too conservative. I wonder why that is? I like the Mississippi River analogy … if you are in New York, the Ole Miss is to the left and if you are in California, it’s to the right. I am pretty sure that is the case here.
