More GOP “Values” – DeLay

by Dan Cody Leave a reply »

Right out of the “When accused of ethics violations, blame everyone except yourself” playbook, Tom DeLay tells his GOP Senate pals to carry water for him at a luncheon yesterday by blaming – drumroll pleaseDemocrats for his ongoing ethical problems:

Attendees said DeLay, in extremely brief remarks, told the senators that, if asked about his predicament, they should blame Democrats and their lack of an agenda. – Washington Post

How can anyone even take the Republican party leadership seriously?

Stop picking on DeLay. He’s a good man who loves his country. We should instead be focusing on pushing gays back into the closet, re-writing the Constitution until it becomes the latest addition to the New Testament, getting rid of our wimpy allies, destroying the Alaskan wilderness, erasing nuclear non-proliferation agreements, and building a bigger, better wedge to drive between the “two Americas”.

Priorities, Daniel. All these charges the Democrats are throwing at DeLay are manufactured by the same yahoos who thought our U.N. presentation a few years ago was bogus. Lousy traitors. To paraphrase our President, why can’t we restore “honor and dignity” to Washington, like the good ol’ days of Richard Nixon?

Freakin’ liberals. Just shut up. Shut your treasonous mouths.

By the way, have you heard the Bernard Sanders story yet?

Here’s a crazy idea…how about politicians just STOP hiring family members during campaigns? Seriously, could we waste any more time nitpicking about who paid who’s wife/daughter/niece/neighbor’s dog for campaign work and start focusing on issues that affect each and every one of us here in the real world? Like steroids in the major leagues?
