More Investigations into Republican Culture of Corruption

Is it the House of Represenatives or the House of Corruption?

Federal prosecutors have begun an investigation into Rep. Jerry Lewis, the Californian who chairs the powerful House Appropriations Committee, government officials and others said, signaling the spread of a San Diego corruption probe.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles has issued subpoenas in an investigation into the relationship between Lewis (R-Redlands) and a Washington lobbyist linked to disgraced former Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham (R-Rancho Santa Fe), three people familiar with the investigation said. - LA Times

How many Republicans in Congress are currently under federal investigation? Three? Four? More?

In the interest of objectivity, I’m sure you’ll be commenting on this story.

As expected .. no comment. I guess if you just ignore the Democratic corruption, you’d think only Repubs are corrupt.

Sorry I couldn’t meet your timeline to answer, like I said before it’s been a busy two weeks and I’ve barely had time to post here, much less answer to you.

Anyways, I’d like to comment on that sure. The big difference that you’re ignoring is that this is one Democrat who’s possibly corrupt, and if he’s charged, he should step down. I’ve been talking for months about how there is a culture of corruption within the Republican party, and Jefferson’s problems don’t change that.

If and when the Democrats have as many people either charged for corruption or under investigation for corruption, then your attempts at comparing them will make sense. Until then, it doesn’t.

No problem .. I was just giving you crap more than anything.

There is plenty of corruption on both sides of the aisle is my point. You may choose to ignore it, but it is there.
