More Protest Info

2002 December 27
by Dan Cody

Sorry for going all ‘Liberal Leftist’ the past few days, but here’s some information about the Anti-War Protest happening in Washington D.C. on the 18th of January…

Check out this picture of a full page ad that’s going to run in the New York Times next week which gives some info about the protest and what people can do to support it, even if they can’t be there themselves.

The last Anti-War Protest that took place in D.C. last October had about 100,000 protesters marching in the streets, and with all the War talk going on these days, I wouldn’t be suprised if that number was surpassed on the 18th.

Hopefully, the people who work in that city as our representatives will listen a bit closer this time.

The thing that bugs me is that InternationalANSWER, dominated by the workers world party, keeps slipping in their agenda within the anti-Iraq-war message. I don’t know. It really bugs me. A lot.

Yeah, that bugs me too. It seems that groups with agendas secondary only to the promotable one are the only groups who can create a flashy, organized “movement”. Thats not to say that we shouldn’t rub shoulders with these people at a protest against all the insanity today.
…And where do the socialist groups get all the money to print the enormous amounts of newpapers they distribute at protests? Boggles the mind.
