Another poll today confirms exactly what I've been saying for the last couple years. 72% of US troops IN Iraq believe in pulling out of Iraq within the year (and that included 58% of Marines, who are totally brainwashed into repeating the Republican line).

<a href="http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002076066" rel="nofollow">http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002076066</a>

Like I've said for a while now, most soldiers realize that this war is unwinnable and can only end in a civil war encompassing most of the middle east. Unfortunately, the "commanders on the ground" and the generals in the pentagon will only say what it takes to get promoted or not lose their jobs. Few people understand just how political it is to achieve the rank of general.

Um, yeah. "Do you approve or disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling his job as President" is totally sketchy.

Hmm...perhaps the wording of the poll is a bit sketchy? Maybe by "approve" those 30% "I don't really know what's going on because my head is up my ass."
