		<description>As a politician how do you decide what are the "best interests" of the people you represent?  I'd imagine that those people have quite a variety of opinions on what those interests might be. It can be especially problematic when "vocal groups" (fundamentalists, teachers' unions, etc.) are especially vocal (and have open check books). 

It seems to me that most politicians consider their particular ideology to coincide with the "best interests" of their constituents.</description>
