Yeah Boy,

This district does not just include the City of Milwaukee, it also includes the city of Wauwatosa, which she did not get the majority vote in.

Tosa

Wards Counted (8 of 8)

Daniel Wycklendt 1,751 36.19%
Daniel Cody 774 15.90%
Lynne D. De Bruin 2,257 46.64%
Write-In 57 1.18%

If you total all the votes together from both Wauwatosa and Milwaukee she is short of 50% of the total votes cast. While she is close to a majority she did not make it to that 50%, and I think what Mr. Cody was pointing out is that it most definately is not a "clear majority." Just wanted to set the record straight.

Thanks for pointing this out Dan.

Wait a dang minute here!

I decided to verify YOUR statement and lo and behold you are in accurate according to your own source.

=================================================
http://www.city.milwaukee.gov/ElectionResultsFebru20931.htm
=================================================
District 15

 Wards Counted (20 out of 20)
 Daniel J. Wycklendt 2,149 26.33 %
 Daniel Cody 1,721 21.09 %
 Lynne DeBruin 4,157 50.94%
 Write-In 134 1.64%
=================================================

So as you can see, she got over 50% of the vote with a total of 4157 votes. Cody+Wycklendt = 2149+1721 = 3870. So she didn't mislead voters at all.

You owe us and Sup. DeBruin an apology.

I'm glad you didn't throw in the towel completely Dan and are continuing to talk about issues in the county even though you didn't win your election. I think it's important for voters to know if their
candidates are misleading them. I for example would never have known the statement on the mailing I got from the Supervisor was flase
if you hand't mentioned it.

So I don’t see it as sour grapes at all. Rather, I see it as holding our potential public servants to a basic standard of truthfulness in communicating with voters and calling them out on it - no matter who it is or what the situation may be - when they fail to meet that standard. (Emphasis mine)

When will you start following the "no matter who it is" part? You have NEVER held a democrat to any basic standard. Quite the contrary actually - you make excuses for Democrats when they fail to live up to any basic standard.

I do agree with you, though. It IS the first step toward accountability, but it doesn't help when people make excuses for those on "their side".
