Funny you wrote an article on this ... I have been using Quanta Plus for a while now.  I really like it, but you are right, it is a little rough around the edges.  One thing that irks me is when I mount an NFS share (home LAN, don't worry ;) ) and then save, the directory tree in the left pane will minimize back to the DocumentRoot.  

Speaking of the left pane, it's sooo nice that you can move that baby whereever you want.  You can move it so that it's its own window outside of the application ... nice!  

I'm very impressed with the quality of this application.  You're correct when you say that any Homesite user will feel right at home ... very similar.  

Probably the best HTML editor for Linux right now.

BTW - good article, as usual.
